"Leave No Trace"
Waldo Lake Activity Book

a TeenARTS project

"Leave No Trace," created by teens and artists Sharon Wick and Louisa Lindsay-Sprouse during April-August 2002, is a 20 page activity book for families to use while visiting Waldo Lake. The book includes illustration, writing, storytelling, and word games inspired by the area.

A "Leave No Trace" writing contest and incorporation into Oakridge School District's Outdoor School curriculum, taught by D'Lynn Williams, provided opportunities for other youth to create pieces for the book.

Two teen publication leads assisted with bringing all of the pieces together and finalizing the layout.

The project was developed through a partnership between YouthArts, a program of Lane Arts Council, Middle Fork Ranger District, Oakridge/Westfir Family Resource Center, Oakridge/Westfir 21st Century Community Learning Center, Oakridge School District and Young Writers Association.
