Before carpet was installed at Prairie Mountain School they decided to paint a time capsule on the floor of the hallways.
YouthArts artist Anthony Vanderford held a teacher workshop followed by a one-week residency during which the elementary students, teachers, and parents from Prairie Mountain painted the floors with bright colors.
Willamette High School teens documented the project with the help of teacher Tandy Tillinghast. The teens then put together a mural for the music room of the elementary school using elements of their documentation.

This project was developed by Prairie Mountain School, Tandy Tillinghast, and YouthArts, a program of Lane Arts Council, and supported by funding from the Edna L. Holmes Fund through the Oregon Community Foundation.
