The McKenzie River Light Quilt is composed of stained glass panels depicting the McKenzie environment. The artwork was created from July 7-August 7, 2003 by artists Gila and Tim Fox and four McKenzie teens. It was unveiled in October 2003 at the Horse Creek Work Center. The panels are on permanent display at the H.J. Andrew's Experimental Forest. The teens designed the panels after studying their landscape and meeting with environmental specialists. Developed through YouthArts, a program of Lane Arts Council, in partnership with McKenzie Arts Forum, McKenzie River Family Resource Center, McKenzie River Ranger District, and McKenzie Watershed Council.
