The Elmira Elementary Community Faces Mural Project involved both elementary and middle school youth! Annette Rothweiler worked with students at Elmira Elementary during an in-school residency in April 2003. The portraiture images that they created were used by Fern Ridge Middle students and Alex Lanham to design a tile mural. The mural was installed at the elementary school in June 2003.  Elmira Elementary Community Faces Tile Mural Project was developed in partnership with the Elmira Elementary staff and parents, Fern Ridge School District, Annette Rothweiler, Alex E. Lanham, and YouthArts, a program of Lane Arts Council. The project is supported by funds from the Noti Community PTA and the Oregon Community Foundation's Edna L.
