The High School Experience

a TeenARTS project

The High School Experience is a mosaic mural. The project began as a Public Art class taught by Ann Hubbird and continued into spring 2004 with a small number of students.

Meetings with Ann Hubbird and artist Mari Livie focused on finishing the mosaic pieces and preparing the mural for installation. The mural was installed in the school's front commons in the fall of 2004 and a dedication celebration was held November 19, 2004.

This project was a collaborative effort among YouthArts, a program of Lane Arts Council, North Eugene High School, Ann Hubbird, Mari Livie, and Betsy Wolfston. Support comes from Greenville Foundation, U.S. Bank/U.S. Bancorp Foundation, Local Clay, and community and project partners.
