Experience the arts in action! Performing artists and ensembles from a variety of cultures and artistic disciplines provide lively entertainment, enrichment, and arts education. Contact YouthArts to plan for 2008-2009.

·Alseny Yansane & Andrea DiPalma —- West African dancing and music (songs and drumming) with lively audience participation and hands-on music making. (Ensemble)

·Christopher Leebrick — National award-winning Storyteller offers world folk-tales, original stories, poetry, whoppers and jump-tales. (Solo)

·Josh Humphrey — North Indian Classical Music - Tabla Drumming includes traditional Indian oral technique (Kolkata, India), where rhythmic compositions are sung before being played; tabla, raga and tala. (Solo)

·Paul Prince — World Music on Harp and Guitar - Early Music (related to Gregorian Chant ), Africa (Kora harp from Senegal and Ngoni from Madagascar), and French Impressionist technique. (Solo)

·Kelly Thibodeaux — Duo musicians perform original fiddle- and guitar-based Louisiana traditional music and song. (Solo)

·Iron Mango Orchestra — Maggie Matoba's Hawaiian music ensemble performs traditional and contemporary songs with acoustic and percussive instruments. (Large ensemble, limited availability.)

•  If you are a principal, teacher or school volunteer: email us call 541-485-2278 to begin scheduling.

•  Performance Assemblies are 35-45 minutes in length and often include an interactive discussion period.  

•  Performance Assemblies are availbale for $225 (solo) or $300 (ensemble).

•  Same day back-to-back Assemblies or larger schools: add $125 (solo) or $175 (ensemble).
