Katina Andoniadis — Interactive Performance & Expressive Theater

  • Katina Andoniadis has been a youth theatre director for over 20 years, working with students ranging in age from kindergarten to early college years; and ranging in challenges from autism, mental/emotional issues, detention and talented and gifted. She began her theatre career at the age of five performing for her family while growing up in New York. In the many years since she has worked as a writer, performer, theatre director, as well as performing with a professional comedy troupe, Human Comedy, for eight delightful years. She worked with Eugene Chamber Theatre for 15 years co-creating original theatre works based on ancient myths. Katina also co-founded the non-profit, Impact! Arts, an arts immersion alternative high school and performing arts program.
  • Katina combines expressive skills with theatre to create an enriching performing arts experience. "Other Voices" offers is a dynamic residency designed to activate the creativity and expression of the participants. Combining theatre and counseling technique students explore themselves and our society. The workshop culminates in a public expression of the discoveries the students make. Students determine the elements of the presentation: spoken word, dance, music, comedy sketches, and visual arts.
