The Eugene/Springfield Asian Council produces and sponsors events such as the annual Oregon Asian Celebration (February). Activities showcase the talents of local artisans and performers that specialize in some aspect of Asian culture for the purpose of enhancing cultural understanding. Other events include the Japanese Obon & Taiko Drum Festival (July) and the Asian Kite Festival (September).
