The Arts Let Us Grow
My first play with Shelly and Gil was when I was in third grade. I was usually late because I lived so far out. Always welcoming, they helped me work a lot out. I can remember one girl that had to go and sit on the site supervisor's lap; she was so shy. Now she has a lead role in the play and I have become the stage manager, remembers Tabby.
Tabby is one of 24 Teen Team Assistants involved in ArtsConnection Summer 2003 that first participated as elementary students and now, in high school, provide classroom support as Teen Team Assistants. Tabby began coming to ArtsConnection in 1996. Each year she commits to the theater performance. In 2002, Tabby was Cottage Grove's Teen Community Liaisonengaging community members in ArtsConnection tours to learn about the program and its needs. In 2003, besides being stage manager, she continued her leadership role as Finale and Open House Coordinator. Tabby worked with staff and artists to organize the finale program and prepared student artwork for the annual finale exhibit. |
